This Privacy Policy describes how Beautivio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use beautivio.com and our mobile app (collectively, the “Service”). Beautivio is operated by Subharambh Fashion & Beauty Skills Development Foundation, an MSME / Udyam-registered organization in Rajasthan, India.

1. Information we collect

You provide directly: name, email, phone, password (hashed), city, state, gender (optional), profile photo, business details (for partners), service catalog, ratings & reviews, booking details, payment confirmations, ID proof (for verification only).

Automatically: device type, browser, OS, IP address, approximate location (if you allow “Near me”), session duration, page views, referral URL, app interaction events.

From third parties: Cloudinary (image/video CDN), MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Hostinger / Emergent (web hosting), analytics partners.

2. How we use information

• Provide, operate and improve the Beautivio Service.
• Personalise discovery, bookings, offers and recommendations.
• Process bookings and notify you about confirmations / changes.
• Verify business listings and prevent fraud.
• Send transactional notifications via email / SMS / WhatsApp / app push.
• Send marketing communications (with opt-out option).
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law.

3. Sharing your information

We share your information only with:

• Beauty Partners you book — they receive your name, phone, service, slot.
• Service providers who help us run Beautivio (Cloudinary, MongoDB, Hostinger, Emergent, analytics).
• Legal authorities when required by Indian law, court order, or to prevent fraud / harm.
• Business transfers in the event of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing.

5. Data storage & security

Personal data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS 1.3) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service or comply with law. Account data is retained for 7 years after deletion request for tax / audit compliance under Indian law.

6. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Erase your data (subject to legal retention).
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer or India’s Data Protection Board.

7. Children

Beautivio is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, email privacy@beautivio.com and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

Some service providers (Cloudinary, MongoDB Atlas) may store data outside India. We ensure equivalent protection through Standard Contractual Clauses and security certifications.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app banner at least 7 days before taking effect.
